Version 3.3 released

Hello Everyone,

The new version has been released which fixes issues with broken link.

Enjoy this version and let me know in case of any issues.

    Like earlier version 3.2, Can we download indices data in separate folder.I mean seprate save option has not been provided for index data download.

      Right now we do not have an option to download indices into a separate folder. I will raise this request an enhancement on my website.

      The indices data are only available as part of the Consolidated EOD data.
      Goto Settings->Others->Create consolidated bhavcopy
      Your indices data should be download there.

    thanx for promt update . but as u say i am mentioning one bug , which is also in previous version. if i choose indices ,equity and future at the same time . all data is downloaded in eod folder. i have to change config for separately download equity+indices or future data

      Hi Kalyan,
      I am not sure what exactly the bug is. I cannot reproduce the same at my end. I am able to download all files in separate folder along with the consolidated data in EOD folder.

    as in getbhavcopy(i refer this application for example ,dont mind pls), it has option to change the url. i changed the url to www.nse-india.com and it worked. getbhavcopy also didnt work before the change of setting

      have to unzip in a new folder (there sud be no other file,only nseeod downlaoder files). and the file with java icon is the main file .clik on it and u will see the application window.

    Checked data source page on NSE website , the concerned page displayed the foll. message :
    The requested object does not exist on this server. The link you followed is either outdated, inaccurate, or the server has been instructed not to let you have it. :(

    mainly nse indices data. was working ok but in last 15 to 20 days have problem downloading mainly indices data. again with different isp behave differently. sometime using 3g it download ok the indices it seams. thanx for ur response rohit

    Yep .. looks like something changed in the new year .. not an issue with the software .. but nse has changed something. Bhai log, Rohit is providing a free service with a generous heart, so lets respect that and lets request him to fix it and not demand it. :)

      Hi, looks like this time you don't have a clue. The files are "there" but getting 403 (forbidden). I have downloaded the bhavcopy and the index snapshot from the nseindia site.

      Yep,I saw that in the log. Looks like nse site is making sure the file is downloaded from the web by setting the referrer. A guy having HTML expertise I think can help here

      I think the change needs to go in the prepareRequestPropertyMap() of DownloadFile.java.

      The line
      requestPropertyMap.put("user-agent", "User Agent: Java Client");
      should change to something like

      requestPropertyMap.put("user-agent", "User Agent: Java Client", "Referer : https://nseindia.com/products/content/equities/equities/archieve_eq.htm");

      Will need to test this though.

      Good that you are still at it. Actually without "seeing" the charts, that preparedness does not come. You seem to have quite a grip on the "system". The referer idea seems to be it, but I am not knowledgeable. And, downloading ..... converting ..... merging ..... manually ..... what to say.
      I do not know if NSE people have changed anything, because you can still download the 30 dec 2016 data. Please be at it till jjwala finds time to do something.

    I am only able to download bhavcopies from 1st Jan 2016 onwards.

    Is there a way to download from 1st Jan 2014 or before onwards. When I select this date range, it skips saying Cannot find bhavcopy for the day. Any way to fix this?

    Hi Rohit Great job !! I have just downloaded ver 3.3,it is showing dates of data in Devnagari font and also when tried to feed data to Amibroker it is showing following error "Logging started for 'C:\Program Files\AmiBroker\NSE DATA DOWNLOADER\Temp\version.txt' file, using format definition file 'Formats\wizard.format'
    Error in line -3.3Invalid (close) price. Prices must be positive. If you want to import no quotation data please specify $NOQUOTES 1 ('no quotation data' box in Wizard)
    Invalid date format/value " can you please help to sort out ?

    Yep, it is not working. Looks like the filename format has changed. Also the latest change done by NSE messed up a comma in the csv file, so they will have to modify it again. The current line is looking like this. A comma is missing after FUTIDX.

    Please ignore my previous updates. The urls are the same. NSE just became smarter and is disallowing downloads.

    Hello Rohit, Appreciate your work.
    Had a feature request.
    Create an option to download only the user required futures series, present series preferably. This way, one can have a contineous data for the symbol by appending -I to the symbol. Hope you get my drift and see value in it.

    have to have a macro to match the eod data,for that to get help one macro developer.otherwise no way. or if getbhavcopy start working ,one can get cash and future data.only indices have to merge. renuji u r from inditraders forum i think. rohitji may be busy now or disconnected .i have a talk with macro developer .price for cash and future data macro can cost 1200/ @renuji

    GetBhavCopy importing wrong FUTURES data , instead of Near month Far month data is being imported , so careful guys , your analysis could be impacted .

      Excellent job. Thanks a lot. One request - 1) If possible download all indexes data. 2)In Cash segment delivery data is downloaded in GetBhavcopy. If that can be added in "OpenInterest" column, which is marked "0" right now.

      I might not be monitoring this space often and these issues will guide anyone interested in fiddling with this software

      Also, I am not sure if I will get enough time to maintain this software actively, but still I would encourage filing issues/feature requests on a tracker.
